Acid Fume Scrubber

PolyPac Packed Tower Scrubbers are highly effective for preventing and efficiently removing inorganic gases, odors, and fumes, especially in exhaust air containing hydrochloric acid and nitric acid fumes. For handling acid mist and fumes from process baths, particularly those containing chromic acid and sulfuric acid, Poly Mist Scrubbers are recommended. These scrubbers can be used independently or as "prescrubbers" in conjunction with packed scrubbers.

Vertical Flow Scrubbers are ideal for a range of industrial applications, including chemical processing, metal finishing, semiconductor manufacturing, and other operations that generate fumes and gases. These scrubbers provide optimal performance by ensuring effective gas/liquid mixing while maintaining a low-pressure drop.

Standard construction materials for these scrubbers include polypropylene, fiberglass, and PVC, with optional materials like stainless steel and Hastelloy available for more demanding applications.

Sulphuric acid recycling system

Acids are essential in various industrial processes such as etching, pickling, polishing, deburring, metal refining, passivation, activation, ore digestion, leaching, nitration, sulfonation, neutralization, catalysis, ion exchange, and more. These processes involve different types of acids, including sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, fluoric acid, and their mixtures. During production, these acids accumulate impurities such as metal ions, complexes, organics, and solids.

Polyfill Microns offers advanced systems to remove these impurities from bath solutions, enabling continuous recycling of the baths. For complex conditions, we conduct laboratory and pilot studies to recommend the best solution, utilizing one or a combination of the following treatment methods:

Chromic Acid Rinse Water
Rinse water containing chromic acid can be efficiently recycled through a looping system, allowing continuous reuse of the water. The chromic acid is recovered and can be replenished for further use, significantly reducing the load on the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). Additionally, metal impurities from the rinse water are removed during the recycling process.

Nickel Bath Rinse Water
Nickel bath rinse water can also be recycled in its pure form through a looping system for continuous reuse. During the process, nickel is recovered either as nickel sulfate or nickel chloride, ensuring efficient resource recovery and reducing waste.

Yarn Jet Wash Water Recycling
Wastewater from jet loom machines, which contains emulsified oil, is treated and recycled back into the production process, minimizing waste and conserving water.

Garage/Vehicle Wash Water Recycling
Wash water from garages and service stations, contaminated with oil, grease, detergents, and other pollutants, can be treated and recycled back for use, promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

DM Plant

DM or deionized water is simply water that has had most of the mineral content and dissolved ion content removed. It is just pure water. The cleanliness of the water is rated as its resistance value. It should be noted that pure water will not conduct electricity. It’s the ions in the water that conduct the electricity. Deionization is simply an ion-exchange process in which water flows through resin exchanges hydroxide ions (OH-) for negative ions. Sometimes there are two column of deionization – one for the Anions and one for the cautions, But the highest quality water is produced by what is called mixed- bed DI or “MBDI” where the cation exchange and Anion exchange resins are mixed together. Separate Anion and cation columns are now used infrequently because of the superiority and economy of reverse osmosis. Deionized water quality is measured by conductivity or resistivity. In the chart below resistivity is represented Above the line in ohms or megohms and conductivity is below the line measured in microsiemens.

Type III Purified water is considered to be 1 meg ohm to 0.02 ohms or 1 to 50 microSiemens.

Type I ultra - Pure water is considered to be 10 to 18.2 meg ohms or .01 to 0.0555 microSiemens.
